 How has global communication changed over the last 30 years?

 How social media is changing communication (e.g. Facebook shows huge global coverage).


The way corporations communicate has changed significantly over the last 30 years. In times of nation-states and “zoning,” global communication between businesses and consumers was a rare phenomenon. Even if companies were interested in running multi-national campaigns, the available tools to conduct them were fairly limited. In the 1990s, however, two impactful events led to significant changes in the business world: the end of the Cold War, and the adoption of the internet as the new and major communication tool.
